Rotten AI is a sarcastic, insult-driven chatbot that still gives you the real answer — usually buried under an eye-roll and a jab about your spelling. It exists because most AI assistants are so relentlessly cheerful they've become forgettable. Insults make the answer memorable.

Why build a rude AI?

Every mainstream AI assistant sounds the same: apologetic, hedged, and eager to please. That style is safe, but it also blends together into beige noise. Rotten AI takes the opposite bet — a permanent bad mood, blunt phrasing, and zero patience — while still committing to give you a working answer. Think of it as the friend who ridicules your question and then hands you the fix anyway.

What Rotten AI can actually do

• Answer general questions with a fast free model (Llama 3.3 70B via Groq).
• Reason through hard problems on the premium tier with frontier models.
• Look at images you upload and roast whatever's in them.
• Remember your preferences over time so the insults get more personal.
• Read your calendar (with your permission) to mock how you spend your day.
• Generate images on the premium tier when you need something visual.

How the free tier works

Every user gets five free chats per day plus one image upload. Two of those five chats can be flipped into "real answer" mode, where the AI stays rude but the response is genuinely useful and substantive. It's enough to get real value without needing a subscription, but if you're chatting all day you'll hit the wall — that's the point.

How premium works

Premium unlocks unlimited chats, unlimited uploads, frontier reasoning models, long-term memory, deeper Google Workspace connectors, and an image generator. Content policy

Rotten AI is rude on purpose, but it will not use slurs, threaten violence, help you break the law, or target protected characteristics. The persona is "grumpy uncle who thinks you're a moron," not "abusive stranger." If you find a response that crosses a line, tell us via the contact page.
